Aqualia’s team have been involved in many award winning pools before. These have normally been as designers and consultants for major pool companies and often providing the mechanical and electrical systems within the heat recovery ventilation. We also work with the pool company as part of their design team on large multidisciplinary projects.

But for the 2024 awards in Coventry we decided to enter one of our own pools. A beautiful residential pool and spa in a semi basement location in Wentworth. We are delighted that this pool won the category residential indoor freeboard pools above £150,000.

A fantastic achievement to celebrate with our staff and contractors and we were delighted that we took the decision to enter the pool.

Imagine our delight when the pool was also awarded the residential pool of the year!

We are so pleased that the judging team take the time to look beyond the fantastic appearance of these entries and consider the technical difficulties that had to be dealt with and the challenges of meeting a difficult specification.

We feel our design input, support of the client, design team and other contractors on site, and the comprehensive design documentation all helped to achieve our award. Oh, and of course there is our very well respected environmental control and energy conservation reputation!

The award winning pool also needs the support of a decent plant room installation to ensure ease of operation and maintenance and long term reliability. With our comprehensive controls packages the award winning pool also has a neat and workmanlike “engine room” to keep conditions under control for the pool and spa.
